MVC Route 295 South Bound On 07-01-07

  On 11-17-07 at 1552 hrs. Salem County 9-1-1 alerted Station 7 to an MVC on the Delaware Memorial Bridge Westbound Span. 7-1's crew heard the NCC Fire Board dispatch Station 20 and responded at 1552 hrs as SC 9-1-1 was dispatching them. 7-1 arrived at 1555 hours along with NCC A20. NCC Rescue 20 and 7-2 arrived shortly after and assisted in patient care. Three patients were transported to Christiana ER. All units were clear at 1629 hrs. Units On Scene: 7-1, 7-2, 7-7A, NCC Rescue 20, NCC A20, NCC A22, NCC Medic 1, 5-8A, & DRBA Police. Click For Photos
 

MVC Route 295 South Bound On 07-01-07

     On 07-01-07 at 0046 hrs. Salem County 9-1-1 alerted Station 11 & Squad 11 to an MVC Route 295 South Bound in the area of Exit 4. Salem County 9-1-1 added Station 7 & Squad 5 to the alarm at 0057 hrs. after Station & Squad 11 needed more manpower.  5-8A responded at 0057 hrs. and 7-1 responded at 0101 hrs. with 7-10A as OIC. Engine 7-1 arrived at 0107 hrs. Upon arrival NJSP advised of a single vehicle off the roadway into the trees. Both subjects in the vehicle had removed themselves on there own power and were being loaded into 5-8A with minor injuries. 7-1 remained on scene at the request of NJSP to provide light for the tow truck company to remove the car from the woods. Station 7 units were clear of the scene and off radio at 0211 hrs. Units On Scene: 7-1, 5-8A, & New Jersey State Police. Click For Photos....

 

SCFA Live Burn Training On 06-20-07

         The Deepwater Fire Department went to the Salem County Fire Academy on 06-20-07 to practice live fire evolutions and to get two probationary firefighters signed off to become primary firefighters. Jessica Yates and Joe Kennedy went through the New Jersey Firefighter 1 course at Camden County Fire Academy and needed to show and practice there skills in front of the officers of the Deepwater Fire Department. When the department returned to station these two firefighters were awarded the Black Shields indicating they are primary firefighters. Congratulations Jessica Yates and Joe Kennedy.
