The Deepwater Fire Department went to the Salem County Fire Academy on
06-20-07 to practice live fire evolutions and to get two probationary
firefighters signed off to become primary firefighters. Jessica Yates
and Joe Kennedy went through the New Jersey Firefighter 1 course at
Camden County Fire Academy and needed to show and practice there skills
in front of the officers of the Deepwater Fire Department. When the
department returned to station these two firefighters were awarded the
Black Shields indicating they are primary firefighters. Congratulations
Jessica Yates and Joe Kennedy.
