Dine To Donate At The Pennsville
Applebee's On 06-19-07
The Deepwater Fire
Department and Pennsville Fire & Rescue went to the Applebee's in
Pennsville on 06-19-07 at 1200 hrs. The departments were there to setup
and display trucks for the Dine To Donate Fundraiser. Applebee's is a
very neighborhood oriented business and was more than willing to help
the fire departments. This day was also Applebee's 1 year anniversary.
Applebee's donated 10% of all meal receipts that were accompanied by a
pre-distributed flyer to the departments. Engine 7-1, Field Piece 7-4,
Quint 5-6, and Field Piece 5-4 were on location until 2100 hours giving
tours of the trucks, showing how the equipment works, and handing out
fire prevention information. The event was a huge success and ended up
being the largest Dine To Donate of any Applebee's on the East Coast.
